What we do differently
Most billing companies staff their claims review with billers. We staff ours with MD-level billers working alongside certified coders, and they read the documentation before the claim goes out.
That sounds like a small distinction until a payer denies something on medical necessity. Defending that claim means reading the chart and explaining why the care was warranted. A biller working from a superbill has never seen the chart. Scrubbing software checks the format of a claim, not the clinical reasoning behind it.
It is also why we would rather catch a problem before submission than appeal it afterwards. An appeal takes weeks and often fails. A question asked while the encounter is still recent takes a minute.

How we handle patient data
Every RGT employee who touches patient data works under a signed business associate agreement and completes HIPAA training before their first shift. Access is limited to the records a person needs for the accounts they work on, and every view is logged. We can provide our BAA, our training records and our access logs on request during your vendor review.
